Crash with Telephone Poll Leads to Careless Driving Charge

A 74 year old has been charged after crashing with a telephone pole which caused an outage.

On October 29th at around 4:30pm, Grey Bruce OPP responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 6 north of Hidden Valley Road in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

Officers arrived to find a pickup truck which had left the roadway and hit the telephone pole.

The lone driver suffered minor injuries.

Hydro crews were called to shut off the power and preform repairs.

The 74 year old of Northern Bruce Peninsula was charged with Careless Driving.
