Now into the Chirstmas season, Bruce County is inviting all to step up and support local families with the return of the Dorrell Young Christmas Program.
Bruce County’s Human Services department has launched the program now into its 29th year helping those in Bruce County.
Every year the program supports around 500 children and teenagers along with adult family members. Unwrapped gifts or any monetary donations are being accepted which has already started with a $5000 donation from the Power Workers Union and $3000 from the Cargill Community Foundation.
Goods will be accepted until December 5th with drop offs including at the Bruce County Administrative Centre in Walkerton, Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, Penetangore Hub in Kincardine and Peninsula Hub in Wiarton.
