It was a cliffhanger for those who witnessed a vehicle going over a cliff in Owen Sound.
Police there were called to an area on 20th Street East and 5th Avenue East Friday afternoon just before 6.
Officers arrived to find a Chevrolet Silverado along with the driver in the escarpment.
The vehicle ended up in some trees and suffered heavy damage as a result.
The driver was treated for injuries but a further investigation revealed the driver was also showing signs of impairment and breath tests came back over the legal limit.
The 45-year-old man from Owen Sound was charged, had his vehicle impounded for seven days, and license suspended for 90 days.
