Its Emergency Preparedness Week and Bruce County is taking part.
Running until May 11th the county’s Emergency Management Program is encouraging all residents and visitors to take concrete actions to be better prepared in the event of an emergency.
Things such as natural disasters are out of our control and there are ways to reduce the risk and impact by taking a few simple steps to be better prepared.
Residents are reminded to know the risks, make a plan and have an emergency kit.
Ray Lux, Bruce County Emergency Management Coordinator says they encourage visitors to take steps and be prepared and by doing so you can alleviate stress on emergency responders and community recovery efforts.
