An empty seat needs to filled in Kincardine council but given it being an election year and it past March 31st, who is going to fill that seat is going to be a specific criteria.
A seat in council became vacant after councilor Hinchberger became the Deputy Mayor, replacing Andrea Clarke who resigned after becoming a part time Deputy Judge.
Given the Council’s Vacancy Policy and the Municipal Elections Act, eligible individuals include members of council from the past two terms, unsuccessful candidates from the 2024 vacancy and unsuccessful candidates from the 2022 election.
Notices will be issued to those who fit the criteria in the coming weeks.
