Today marks the annual fire apparatus pumper test in Huron-Kinloss.
Fire crews will be conducting these tests on the south end of Point Clark Harbour on from 8am-4pm.
Residents today may notice increase fire tucks operating at the harbour and drawing water from Lake Huron.
Crews will be testing pump capacity, water flow and other critical systems to make sure each fire engine’s pump is operating safely and performing to its rated capacity.
This is planned maintenance and there is no emergency taking place.
