Saugeen Shores Fire Department are investigating a fire that broke out at a motel in Port Elgin.
Crews from Port Elgin, Southampton as well as neighbouring fire departments in Kincardine, and Tiverton, were called to the Maplewood Motel on Goderich Street Sunday afternoon.
A fire broke out in one of the units around 1.
With the help of the fire was quickly contained.
One firefighter was taken to hospital by paramedics for treatment of injuries and was later released.
A section of Goderich Street was closed to traffic.
