The Grey Bruce Health Unit are rescinding a class order that calls for those who are showing symptoms of COVID-19 to self-isolate.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra issued a statement saying the order is being lifted as of Tuesday, the same time the rest of the province is further lifting public health restrictions.

Dr. Arra says the order has served its purpose.

He does say anyone who has received direction from public health to self-isolate because of symptoms or close contact must do so.

The health unit has also announced modified recommendations to workplace COVID vaccine policies.

Dr. Arra says as transmission decreases, the rationale for requiring vaccinations in non-high-risk settings also declines.

He says while the risk of transmission remains high, new cases are steadily decreasing.
