The South Bruce Fire Sauble Beach Fire Station responded to the scene of a structure fire yesterday evening around 11:18 pm. Members of the public had reported the fire.
The Fire Department along with the OPP and Bruce County Paramedics responded to the scene at a structure in the parking lot of the former JK’s Department Store that formerly housed Scoopers Ice Cream.
Upon arrival, they found the structure entirely engulfed with flames.
The building was declared a total loss with an estimated amount for damages pegged at $25,000.
The blaze has been deemed suspicious and no investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshall is set to be completed.
