The Wiarton Keppel International Airport has been sold.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs announced the sale of the airport Thursday.

Details of the agreement are not being released at this time as the Township said in a statement that more information will come out once the sale closes on December 17th.

The Township will continue to operate the airport until then.

Georgian Bluffs declared the airport surplus earlier this year and had put it up for sale.

It is the second area airport to be sold this month.

The City of Owen Sound recently agreed to sell the Billy Bishop Airport to an airport operator for $1.5 Million.
