A call about a suspicious person in Dungannon has led to a number outstanding charges for a Ripley man.
Huron County OPP received a call last Thursday morning about someone riding an ATV in a suspicious manner.
Officers were not able to locate the ATV or the driver, but later on another call was received about a break and enter at a property on Dungannon Road.
Police arrived to find the suspect being detained by the owners.
An investigation determined that the accused was attempting to steal an ATV from the property before the owners intervened.
A search of the suspect turned up possible methamphetamine and an ATV reported stolen in Perth County.
Investigators also found out that the suspect broke into other properties in Dungannon and is wanted by South Bruce OPP on outstanding charges.
The 31-year-old remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
