Goderich in council last night has approved the installation of a pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Elgin Avenue and South Street.

Mayor Trevor Bazinet sharing over social media they have listened to the concerns of pedestrians trying to cross the street safely and even with the installation of bump outs and more visible crosswalks last year there are still concerns.

The crossover installed will be one similar to one on Bayfield Road and Bennett Street and Wellington Street and West Street.

While approved by council an installation date hasn’t yet been figured out.
