Grey County is following its neighbouring county’s with rollout of the Medical Priority Dispatch System for its paramedics.
The London Central Ambulance Communications Centre which dispatches ambulances in Grey County will implement the new system to help modernize medical dispatch.
Under this system, callers might be asked questions than usual from the old system which helps dispatchers understand a patients condition and provide paramedics with important information before they arrive.
As call volumes increase in Grey County, paramedics will be able to respond and provide care for calls they are dispatched to but response priority will be based on clinical urgency.
