Hammer-wielding assailant arrested in Hanover

One man has a fractured skull and another is facing serious charges following a Sunday morning incident in Hanover.

Local police say the incident involving the two men who knew each other, took place at a convenience store.

Officers seized a hammer and from a 28-year-old man of no fixed address and charged him with seven offences: including aggravated assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
