Hanover Police are investigating a series of reports of counterfeit $100 bills which have circulated across Hanover in the last week.
Retail store owners, convenience stores, restaurants offering takeout and drive, alcohol and cannabis stores and gas stations are often most susceptible to receiving counterfeit money.
Counterfeit money could have repeated serial numbers on multiple notes, wording such as prop money or for motion picture use, a holographic strip which appears to be a removable sticker and dull, uneven or peeling colours and poor print quality.
Police are asking everyone with $100 bills to be extra vigilant.
