The Grey Bruce Health Unit say they have confirmation of a COVID-19 case in the region linked to the Omnicron variant.
They say the variant was identified though diagnostic testing.
No other information about the case was released.
The health unit adds it usually takes 10 to 14 days before they know the results.
The Omnicron variant is considered a variant of concern as it is more transmissible.
