Grey Bruce Public Health is reminding the public to avoid handling wild birds as more foul are being found dead near the Lake Huron shoreline with tests coming back as positive for the avian influence.

Public health says the risk of the bird flu passing from wild birds to people is still very low but some human infections have occurred as is almost always following close contact with infected live or dead poultry.

Currently there has been no evidence of person to person spread of the bird flu.
