Huron Perth Public Health sent out a notice today that they are beginning to see a complicated season of respiratory illnesses, with the first cases of influenza being reported as well as an uptick in COVID.

The Health Unit reported three active COVID outbreaks in long-term care homes, three in retirement homes and two in congregate living settings.

Heading into winter when respiratory illness can spread much easier, they recommend staying up to date on vaccines, staying home when sick and wearing a mask for 10 days after symptoms of illness present.
