Huron East council has adopted its Vacant Building Bylaw.

The bylaw introduces requirements for property owners including registration and minimum standards for the maintenance of fully vacant buildings.

This initiative supports the municipality’s Strategic Plan including actions to implement a Vacant Building Bylaw and strengthen enforcement of property standards.

Huron East CAO Jessica Rudy says the bylaw will help support safe, well-maintained properties and strong neighbourhoods across Huron East and they appreciate the feedback received from residents and property owners throughout the review process.
