Huron-Kinloss announces Continued Funding for Women in Carpentry Program

The program provides women with hands-on skills & certifications needed for the job site with the goal of diversifying the employee base of the carpentry trade.

The Township of Huron-Kinloss announced a continued investments in its Women in Carpentry program, supported by the Provincial Ministry of Immigration, Labour, Training and Skills Development.

The program is set to receive just under $580,000 in combined funding.

The program is a partnership between the Township, UBC Local 22 22, VPI Employment Services, Fanshawe and the Adult Learning Centre.

The program provides women with hands-on skills & certifications needed for the job site with the goal of diversifying the employee base of the carpentry trade.
