The Wiarton Rotary Club announced that after 83 successful years of providing a Village Fair on the August long weekend, they say they must cancel the 2023 Fair.
The reason behind the decision was them being unable to secure a company to provide the Midway games and rides that have were the mainstay of the event, calling it a unfortunate reality of the times.
They add they will make every effort to return in 2024.
In the mean time they are working on coming up with some fun events for the Civic Holiday long weekend to allow families and friends to gather.
