Huron-Kinloss awarded Rural Excellence Award by Economic Developers Council of Canada

The Township of Huron-Kinloss has announced its Economic Development Team has been awarded a Rural Excellence Award by the Economic Developers Council of Canada.

The award is in recognition of a rural community with a population of less than 10,000 doing extraordinary work in economic development with outstanding results.

Huron-Kinloss says their team sourced over $1 million dollars in grant and fundraising dollars last year to implement such economic development projects as the Women in Carpentry 2.0 program, Secrets of the Back 40 Tourism initiative, Resident attraction, Business recruitment and Financial investment.
