The Huron Shores Hospice has unveiled their newest Wind Phone which can be found by a bench from the river in Geddes Park in Kincardine.

The phone acts as place for grieving individuals to feel a connection with their loved ones, allowing them to express their thoughts, regrets and love with their voice carried by the wind.

The phone idea comes from a Japanese garden designer in 2010 who set up the first Wind Phone in his garden as a means to grieve the loss of his cousin, placing an unconnected rotary phone inside an old fashioned phone booth.
