Saugeen Shores Police are thankful for a concerned citizen who stopped an impaired driver in Southampton this week.
The citizen contacted police around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, saying they had followed the vehicle suspected of driving impaired to a local business and blocked them in to prevent them from leaving.
When police arrived, they found the accused was headed east on High Street. Police say they were confrontational and placed them under arrest.
As a result, a 60-year-old woman from Saugeen Shores has been charged with operation while impaired. Her licence has been suspended and vehicle impounded.
