The West Grey Police Service Board has named Jeremy White as the next Chief of Police.
White was selected by the police board on May 12th and will assume the role of Police Chief as of June 28th following the retirement of Chief Rob Martin.
Chief Designate White first began his policing career in 2000 as an auxiliary officer with Durham and in 2001 joined West Grey Police as a full time constable and grew through the ranks reaching Sergeant in 2016, Inspector in 2021 and Deputy Chief last year.
An official swearing in ceremony will take place in the coming weeks.
