The Kincardine Family Health Organization has been approved as a Residency Training Site by Western University.

Starting in July next year, Kincardine will host a full time Family Medicine Residency Program.

Currently, Kincardine is the host for residents for short term rural placements but next year resident physicians will complete two full years of continuous medical training under local doctors in the area, living and learning in the community.

Nancy Shaw, President & CEO of the Health Centre had much to say to thank Jason Murray is making this possible.

“Dr. Jason Murray from the Kincardine site played a very key role in getting this application moving forward.” said Shaw.

Dr. Jason Murray says not only does this elevate Kincardine’s role in training the next generation of physicians, but it also enhances the communities ability to attract and retain family physicians.
