The Municipality of Kincardine are looking to further incentivize doctors into coming to the area.

There was a recommendation made by the Physician Recruitment Ad-Hoc Committee to Council at their Committee of the Whole meeting on September 13th.

Those recommendations include a $40,000 interest-free forgivable loan, an interest-free loan (up to $60,000) to be used towards a down payment on a home, child care, and golf and health club memberships.

The motion was approved by the Committee of the Whole and will be up for a final vote at Monday’s Council meeting.
