Kincardine is installing a new Smart Beach Light at Station Beach, focusing on improving waterfront safety.
The Smart Beach Light is a real time beach warning system using green, yellow and red signals to communicate current water conditions to help beachgoers make decisions before entering the water.
The installation is set for May 15th with around two weeks of calibration and testing while its connected to nearshore modeling technology.
The Smart Beach Light will be located near the main pedestrian access to the public swimming area.
