Municipalities are already looking ahead with next years budget and Kincardine is no exception who are getting started with the 2026 budget.
Council in February approved the 2025 budget which came with a 7.13 per cent tax increase which after Bruce County’s budget talks saw around $239.16 being the end of the tax bill in total.
Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig says they’ll soon be having chats with the public around the budget.
“Presenting the budget and providing opportunities for people to give their input about services we provide, what they like, what they don’t like. There will be a couple sessions at the k in Tiverton and a few sessions at the Davidson Centre” said Craig.
Bruce County is also in the process of taking feedback for the start of the 2026 budget process with an online survey open until July 14th.
