The organizers of the 2022 Kincardine Terry Fox Run announced on its event page on Facebook that the event raised $24,426 through its event Sunday.
The event usually sees around $12,000 raised so this year’s event doubled the goal.
The run saw about 110 participants take part with the largest fundraisers being Jorja’s Fox Trotters with $10,996 of the total along with Team Jorja at $5,020.
Jorja is a teen from the area who has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, the same cancer that afflicted Terry Fox.
