While its even odd to say it, the Municipality of Kincardine is reminding drivers, the sidewalk is not a parking spot.
Staff have been made aware of increasing amounts of vehicles using the sidewalk to park downtown.
Sidewalks are meant as a safe and accessible route for everyone including those who use wheelchairs, walkers, strollers and other mobility devices and when a vehicle blocks the sidewalk, it can force pedestrians onto the road, creating safety risks.
The municipality says under no circumstance should you be parking on the sidewalks.
