The Municipality of Kincardine is working with experts, project partners and more to address odour concerns raised by the public in regards to the wastewater lagoon system.
Since a public meeting on July 2nd, staff have continued discussions with wastewater specialists and regulatory agencies including with the province and feds, BM Ross Engineering and Triplepoint Environmental.
A federal inspection took place as part of regular inspection and was not related to odour concerns.
Through these discussions staff identified the lagoon conditions, including dissolved oxygen levels with the aeration pond are important factors to odour conditions where preliminary recommendations indicating increasing aeration levels could improve conditions in the pond.
