The provincial government is dishing out just under $12 million to support hospital upgrades and repairs in Huron, Perth, Bruce and Grey Counties.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance will see the bulk of the funding to the tune of $5,220,021 while Brightshores Health System receives $3,968,064 and the Wingham and District Hospital receives $897,286.

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says this targeted funding will allow local hospitals to make critical upgrades, providing a safer and more comfortable environment for both patients and dedicated healthcare frontline workers.

The full funding breakdown includes;

Alexandra Marine and General Hospital $362,281
Brightshores Health System $3,968,064
Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance $5,220,021
South Bruce Grey Health Centre $731,779
South Huron Hospital $347,824
Wingham and District Hospital $897,286

The funding comes off a $266 million investment through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
