The July unemployment rate locally has dropped to 5 per cent.
Last month, the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region showed a drop in unemployment by 0.6 percentage points with the unemployment being the second lowest in the province.
Public administration saw the highest increase in employment at 13.9 per cent followed by information, culture and recreation at 12.9 per cent and 10.6 per cent for professional, scientific and technical services.
There was drops in the goods producing sector at 1.9 per cent and manufacturing at 5.3 per cent.
