2 suspects is facing charges after a break and enter to a business in South Huron.
On September 26th just before 3am, OPP were called about suspicious activity inside a locked compound at a business on Main Street South in Exeter.
Officers arrived and found a rental truck which had backed into the property. Officers saw a suspect flee on foot after spotting police.
The rental truck was found to be stolen from London as well as a rifle and replica handgun inside the truck.
OPP K9 were able to track two suspects with one in possession of a replica handgun and both suspects arrested.
A 21 year old Acton has been charged with;
– Break and Enter,
– Possession of Break-in Instruments,
– Possessio n of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
– Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
– Carrying Concealed Weapon,
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose,
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
– Disguise with Intent,
– Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm,
– Resist Peace Officer,
– Fail to Comply with Release Order – (two counts).
A 59 year old of London has been charged with;
– Break and Enter,
– Possession of Break-in Instruments,
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
– Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition,
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose,
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
– Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm,
– Resist Peace Officer,
– Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order – (three counts).
Both were held for bail and remanded into custody.
