A traffic stop in South Bruce Peninsula has led to charges against a 44-year-old driver.

The Grey Brue OPP received multiple traffic complaints regarding a vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 6 north of Wiarton Wednesday morning.

The vehicle was driving below the speed limit, and on several occasions driving in the opposite lane of traffic.

Officers located the vehicle in the Foodland parking lot in Wiarton where the driver was arrested.

The male of South Bruce Peninsula faces charges of operating while impaired, dangerous operation and driving with a G1 license alone.

The accused is set to appear at an Owen Sound court on February 20th.

A 90-day license suspense and 7-day-vehicle impoundment has also been initiated.

The police thank the public for their calls reporting the incident.
