Applications are now open for a new funding opportunity for organizations to create outdoor play for children across Grey Bruce.

Free to Play is a new initiative by the Community Foundation of Grey Bruce to support outdoor, unstructured play for children and youth.

Led by Community Foundations of Canada with support from the Waltons Trust and the Lawson Foundation, the program is aimed to help remove barriers and create play, inclusive, safe and spaces where kids and grow, move and connect.

Grey Bruce has received $205,000 to give locally in the first of two calls for applications.

Rick Hill, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors says this is an exciting chance to help all children in the community enjoy safe, joyful, unstructured and meaningful play.

Applications are open until February 24th.
