OPP partner with Kincardine & Grey Highlands to raise awareness of Human Trafficking in Grey & Bruce

The stats show that 2/3 of all Canadians reporting human trafficking cases occur in Ontario, 90% of victims of female, with the average age of victims is 17.

The South Bruce OPP, Grey-Bruce OPP, Anti-Human Trafficking Committee, as well as the Municipalities of Kincardine and Grey Highlands to raise awareness of human trafficking in Grey and Bruce Counties.

Human Trafficking is a crime that is devastating for its victims. Motorists will see “It Could Happen to Me” and #KnowHumanTrafficking awareness signs posted in the both municipalities.

The stats show that 2/3 of all Canadians reporting human trafficking cases occur in Ontario, 90% of victims of female, with the average age of victims is 17.

Sex traffickers control every aspect of the trafficked person’s life: when they eat, when they sleep, what they wear and who they talk.

There are distinct signs of trafficking that they say to be aware of and remind that human trafficking is not just a big city issue.
