The province is dishing out over $10 million to support Bruce and Grey County hospitals.
$10,210,000 is being dished out for the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Brightshores Health System and the Hanover and District Hospital to support hospital operations.
The investments will support core clinical services to better meet patient needs which includes funding to keep their emergency department open, support inflationary or other wage pressures and reduce wait times for diagnostic imaging and surgical procedures including MRI, CT, cardiac, stroke, orthopedics and cataracts.
The funding breakdown includes;
| Hospital Name | 2026-27 Funding Increase | 2026-27% Increase |
| South Bruce Grey Health Centre | $2,096,900 | 4.0% |
| Brightshores Health System | $7,263,100 | 3.4% |
| Hanover and District Hospital | $850,000 | 4.0% |
This builds on the $1.1 billion investment as part of the 2026 Ontario Budget which represents a 4 per cent increase in annual support for the fourth year in a row.
