The executive director of the Four County Labour Market Planning Board will be stepping down this spring.
Gemma Mendez-Smith for the last 11 years has led the market board and will be making way for someone else to take over and look into the specific needs in the workforce across Perth, Huron, Grey and Bruce counties.
She adds her time with the organization has been great but looks forward to her new business she started at helping newcomers find employment in the region.
Mendez-Smith will remain with the board until late March or early April to help with the transition of whoever will take over as the organization currently looks over applications for executive director.
