Police Dig Up Weapons and Drugs During Traffic Stop

A Brockton couple are facing charges after a traffic stop in Hanover.

Police stopped a vehicle on June 3rd just after 7pm on 10th Street.

Both the female driver and a male passenger were arrested for having outstanding warrants.

The woman resisted arrested but was eventually subdued.

A search of the vehicle found a sawed off .22 calibre rifle with a cut down stock, methamphetamine with a value of $4800 alongside cannabis hash, psilocylbin, percocet pills and other drugs.

Officers also took lock picking sets.

Both suspects were charged with a slew of offenses including careless use of a fire arm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The 37 year old woman and 35 year old man both from Walkerton were remanded into custody.
