The Power Workers’ Union announced today that they have donated a total of $34,000 to the local food banks in the Grey, Bruce and Huron County areas.
The funds were recently approved through the Bruce Site Equity Committee on behalf of the Bruce Power members as part of their annual disbursement into the local community.
Food Banks including those in Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Walkerton, Owen Sound, Paisley, Wingham, Chatsworth, Wiarton and Goderich were each given $2,000.
The Equity Committee says they are pleased to be able to assist these local organizations with their efforts to help local citizens particularly during difficult times.
