Saugeen Shores has in principle approved its 2024 budget with a 4.99 per cent tax hike.
This increase would mean an extra cost of around $207 per year for the median assessed Saugeen Shores household.
Included in the budget will be the start of construction for a new aquatics centre, maintain support those in need of housing assistance, funding for the Saugeen Sparks Training Centre and upgrading the towns wastewater system.
The budget plan also is calling for menstrual products to be made available for free at the Plex, Coliseum and the Centennial Pool.
The budget is expected to be adopted at January 8ths council meeting.
