The Bruce County Playhouse is ready to open its doors once again to theatre lovers.
Like many other performing arts venues, the playhouse had to shut down production due to the pandemic.
Artistic Director Natalie Robitaille made a delegation at Monday’s Saugeen Shores Committee of the Whole meeting where a report was presented before Council on a two-year lease agreement to use the old Southampton Town Hall theatre.
Robitaille says she is grateful that the Town approved the agreement and for being accommodating to the playhouse over the last two years.
The theatre will be presenting two plays: Real Estate and Murder for Two: A Musical Comedy plus Nearly-World-Famous Duffle Bag Theatre and Comedy in Motion with Bob Cates.
Robitaille says she has already received enquiries about performances and tickets and is very encouraged by the response.
