A state of emergency in the Town of Saugeen Shores is now over.

The order was officially lifted Monday night at 10.

It had been in place since March of 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a news release, Mayor Luke Charbonneau says they are experiencing low case numbers and high vaccination rate.

But he adds they are still in the middle of a pandemic and the Town could return to a state of emergency if required.

The move follows Kincardine’s decision to end the State of Emergency order there.
