Saugeen Shores Police Respond to Public Urination & Open Alcohol Call

On August 2nd 2022 around 7:30pm Police were called to a business establishment near Goderich/Ivings Dr for a report of people urinating on the side of a building.

Saugeen Shores Police Services are reminding the public that urinating in public and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle will get you a visit from the police. 

On August 2nd 2022 around 7:30pm Police were called to a business establishment near Goderich/Ivings Dr for a report of people urinating on the side of a building. 

The vehicle was located seconds later by another officer and a traffic stop was conducted. 

Occupants of the vehicle denied consuming any alcohol, however while speaking with occupants police observed several cans of open alcohol in the vehicle. 

All three vehicle occupants were charged under the Liquor License Act with total fines of $465.00 and trespassed from the business.

There are several businesses with a washroom in the area that are public and you are able to use them.
