Saugeen Shores Police see 131 Calls for Service over August Long Weekend

Saugeen Shores Police partnered with the West Grey Police, OPP, Owen Sound Police and Hanover Police Service on ride checks overnight August 4th to 5th.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service released the statistics from the recent August Long Weekend.

In it the force were called for 131 calls for service.

The highest reason was 29 for Traffic Enforcement, following that the focus was Noise complaints with 9, 4 each of Alarms and Liquor License charges and then Ride Checks and Thefts at 3.

In terms of Ride Checks the Saugeen Shores Police partnered with the West Grey Police, OPP, Owen Sound Police and Hanover Police Service on ride checks overnight August 4th to 5th.

The initiative saw over 200 vehicles stopped; several roadside breath samples taken but no drivers found to be impaired.
