Saugeen Shores Police share word of Human Trafficking Training for Hotels

Amount of $315,000 will be dispersed from Proceeds of Crime - Front Line Policing Grant Stream to provide enhanced community awareness & education, specialized training, investigation equipment as well as funding of a crime analyst to assist with human trafficking investigations.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service shared word this morning of training available in terms of the problem of Human Trafficking & how it relates to Hotels.

They say that if someone works in the Hospitality Industry and would like to access the training for staff in regards to Human Trafficking they are to email Constable Gordon at 50@sspspolice.com

Police services in Saugeen Shores as well as Owen Sound, Hanover, West Grey and Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, in parternship with Grey Bruce Public Health and Victim Services Bruce Grey Perth announced additional funding through the Socilitor General to help combat Human Trafficking in Grey and Bruce.

A total amount of $315,000 will be dispersed to the area police forces from the Proceeds of Crime – Front Line Policing Grant Stream. It will be used to provide enhanced community awareness and education, specialized training, investigation equipment as well as funding of a crime analyst to assist with human trafficking investigations.
