The Town of Saugeen Shores is responding to homelessness in the community, being made more aware of the situation in downtown Port Elgin.
The town says homelessness is a complex issue affecting everyone in the community and alongside the County are working to respond to local homelessness.
Crews have responded to the area in downtown Port Elgin being coordinated with multiple agencies including Bruce County Outreach, Bruce County Community Paramedics, CMHA of Grey Bruce and the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce.
The town adds the public respectfully request patient as outreach is undertaken to meet the needs of individuals.
