The Town of Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation are taking part in the Community Economic Development Initiative.
It is a three-year collaboration program between First Nation communities and neighbouring municipalities in Canada.
CEDI seeks to support and build respectful and equitable partnerships, and to develop capacity for long-term planning for joint community economic development and land use.
In a news release, there will be a joint workshop taking place on June 14th starting at 9 AM with the two partners to explore potential areas of community economic development collaboration.
Saugeen Shores and Saugeen First Nation are one of eight partnerships in Canada to embark on this program.
